​Knight Office is an architecture and interior design practice based on the Gold Coast, working across residential and commercial projects. Our work is grounded in clarity, restraint, and a sensitivity to place.

​We create buildings that feel connected; to landscape, to lifestyle, and to the people who inhabit them. Each project is shaped through a close collaborative process that responds to site, climate, and client. The result is architecture that is considered and enduring.

Our approach draws from the lightness and economy of the Australian vernacular, informed by influences including Glenn Murcutt, Studio Mumbai, and the rigour of John Pawson. We believe good design should elevate the everyday, through careful planning, material simplicity, and purposeful detail.

James Knight (Principal)

​James is a registered architect with over twenty years of experience across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects in Southeast Queensland and Northern NSW. He founded the practice in 2019 and leads every project personally, from brief through to completion.
