Matso's Sunshine Coast Brewery

The project sees the restoration of the 1920's heritage pub, as well as the removal of various 1980's additions, to make way for a new brewery, bistro and landscape to the rear.

The new extension is defined by a four gable-roofed pavilion, which echoes the language of the existing heritage-listed pub. The project aims to prioritise the regeneration of a generous garden, alongside the reuse of material salvaged in demolition. In doing so, the proposal seeks to celebrate the existing building's history and offer a legible and adaptable 'shed' for future generations.

This project was undertaken while at Knight Wilson, in collaboration with Five Mile Radius.
